I’m a former principal with a background in both traditional and public Montessori campuses, and a deep love for helping school leaders feel more clear, more confident, and less alone in the work. Most recently, I led Garden Oaks Montessori—an 800-student, PK-8th grade magnet school in Houston ISD—through a period of growth and transition. While there, I focused on building strong campus systems, growing teacher leadership, and helping the team deepen their work around standards-aligned instruction and meaningful data use—all while honoring the core values of public Montessori.
My strengths have always lived in the relational side of leadership: clear communication, navigating district politics, bringing people along through change, and building the kind of trust that makes real progress possible. I’ve worked with teachers, families, supervisors, and staff in moments of momentum and in moments of tension—and I know how to lead with calm when things feel hard.
But you can't run a school on relationships alone, so I'll admit it: I genuinely love systems. I will 100% nerd out with you about your cafeteria schedule, your coffee with the principal meeting structure, or how to make your to-do list actually work for you. That kind of behind-the-scenes work—whether it’s organizing your calendar or rethinking your staff meeting structure—is just as important as the big-picture moves.
That mindset carried me through earlier chapters of my career, too. Before Garden Oaks, I served as an assistant principal at one of the district’s highest-need campuses, helping lead the school through multiple relocations after Hurricane Harvey and supporting big gains in student performance along the way. Over the years, I’ve worked in both traditional public and charter schools—coaching dozens of teachers and leaders, learning to navigate different systems, and figuring out what actually helps kids grow—and keeps the grown-ups going, too.
I hold degrees from Columbia University (BA, History) and Harvard’s Graduate School of Education (M.Ed. in Education Management), and I’ve continued learning through programs like The Together Leader, The Breakthrough Coach, and Deloitte's Courageous Principals. Each one has shaped the way I support others: with strategy, clarity, and care. When I’m not creating spreadsheets or coaching school leaders, you’ll usually find me cooking, indoor cycling, or being climbed on by my children.
These days, the work I love most is helping other leaders find their footing. I support school leaders who are figuring out how to lead well—especially in the messy middle: transitions, new roles, big decisions, all eyes on you. My goal isn’t to give you a checklist. It’s to be the person in your corner when the work feels weighty. A thought partner who’s been there, who listens without judgment, and who helps you lead in a way that feels sustainable and true to you.
